This measure, issued by the governor of the Oujda Angad prefecture, worries the unions. They fear that this requirement will be applied to the entire country and denounce an unfair measure and a source of complications.

The Secretary General of the Democratic Labor Union is indignant: “This decision is wrong”, recalling the difficulties linked to the transfer of “grimates” (licences) in the event of the death of the holder, particularly when the beneficiaries are absent or deceased . Faced with the protest, the taxi unions requested an audience with the Minister of the Interior, Abdelouafi Laftit, to negotiate and find solutions.

The manager warns of the risks of “revolt” if the measure is generalized. He also denounces the contradictions between the different circulars which govern the sector and calls for greater freedom for drivers. “The professional driver who meets the conditions to benefit from the authorization is entitled to it,” he insists.
