Casio has unveiled another WS1400H watch in the United States, the WS1400H-8BV. This model, also known as the WS-1400H-8BV, arrived shortly after two other watches in the series, available since the beginning of December: the WS1400H-2AV and the WS1400H-8AV.
The WS1400H-8BV watch features a dark gray resin case and strap, a dark LCD display with clear numbers, and an amber LED backlight. The screen appears to be the only difference between this latest model and the two models that arrived last month, which have a light background with dark numbers. Features include support for two time zones, a 1/100th of a second stopwatch, a countdown timer, and support for three alarms. The calendar is fully automatic up to the year 2099 and the watch is claimed to remain accurate to within 20 seconds per month. Additionally, the watch is water resistant up to 10m and runs for up to 10 years on a single CR2025 battery.
You can now buy the Casio WS1400H-8BV on the brand’s online store for $29.95. The watch is also available on the brand’s website in Singapore, although it is not yet available for purchase there. It remains to be seen if or when these new WS-1400H wearables can reach other markets like Europe, where Casio already sells models like the WS-1400H-1AV (currently €45 on Amazon Germany).
