The Moroccan expert, Khadija Bendam, became, from Wednesday, first Vice-President of the International Council of Nuclear Companies (INSC), an international organization founded in 1990 and bringing together nuclear companies from around the world.
Khadija Bendam, representative of “Women in Nuclear-Global”, thus becomes the first woman to occupy this prestigious position within the INSC, which represents more than 80,000 professionals in the sector. The mandate of the Moroccan expert will last for one year, until the holding of the general assembly of the Council, scheduled in Vienna at the same time as the 69th general conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
“This is a wonderful opportunity to serve, influence and contribute to the growth and success of INSC,” said Khadija Bendam.
This position, entrusted to a Moroccan woman, testifies to the leadership and growing influence of Morocco both at the national and international level, she maintained, noting that it also makes it possible to strengthen Morocco’s influence on a global scale. regional and global. “I look forward to collaborating with my fellow leaders to make a significant impact and advance our nuclear sector globally,” she said.
Recognized as a Non-Governmental Organization by the IAEA and the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), the INSC serves as a global forum for discussion and the establishment of common objectives among nuclear companies, while advocating the interests of professionals in the sector.
