The plans for demarcating the perimeters of 95 douars, spread over 6 municipalities in the province of Tétouan and over an area of nearly 1,327 hectares, were adopted last Monday, at the headquarters of the municipality of Tétouan, with a view to supervising the urban planning and urban expansion of these communities.
This meeting, chaired by the governor of the province of Tetouan, Abderrazzak Mansouri, was marked by the adoption of the douars delimitation plans in the communes of Oulad Ali Mansour, Zaouiat Sidi Kacem, Azla, Souk Kdim, of Ain Lahsan and Bni Leit, said a press release from the Tetouan Urban Agency.
These are 20 douars in the commune of Oulad Ali Mansour, covering a total area of nearly 105 hectares (ha), 12 douars in the commune of Bni Leit (301 ha), 16 douars in the commune of Ain Lahsan (368 ha), 25 douars in the commune of Souk Kdim (280 ha), 4 douars in the commune of Azla (73 ha) and 18 douars in the commune of Zaouiat Sidi Kacem (200 ha).
Mansouri also recalled the steps taken in this context, with the approval of 54 douars under eight local authorities, calling on partners and stakeholders in the urban planning sector to “redouble their efforts to generalize these projects at the level of the entire territory of the province.
Note that nearly 70% of the territory of the province of Tetouan was covered by the douar perimeter delimitation schemes, with a total of 149 beneficiary douars covering an area of nearly 2,234 ha.
