In Herblay-sur-Seine (Val-d'Oise), municipal police officers, Asvp and video surveillance operators will soon have a new tool more suited to their missions.
The new municipal police headquarters, located near the aquatic center – at 220, route de Conflans, Rd 48 – will open in February.
According to the town hall, the building which currently houses the premises of the municipal police, in the city center, rue Jean-Bordenave, had reached its limits, “difficult to access”, “not very visible” and municipal agents felt there “cramped”.
450 square meters
The new 450 m station2 will allow the thirty police officers, five public highway surveillance officers (Asvp) and two video operators to have better working conditions.
Located in the geographical center of this extremely large municipality, the new police station is located close to the main roads (RD48, 11e– avenue, A15, north-south lane).
The City invested 1.7 million euros in this operation. It benefits from subsidies from the Île-de-France Region (€675,000) and the Val-d'Oise Department (€375,000).
PM staff numbers have quadrupled since 2014
PM staff numbers have quadrupled since 2014. The City has also strengthened video surveillance as part of the system financed by the Val Parisis agglomeration. Sixty-seven cameras should be in operation by 2026 compared to fifty today.
The premises will have a viewing room. The 67 m urban surveillance center (Csu)2 will relay live high definition images from the Val Parisis CSU installed in Franconville.
The City wanted to have this image offset for greater responsiveness. The newsroom will include nine positions instead of three currently, which will allow the teams “to better accommodate Herblay residents and increase efficiency,” indicates the municipality.
Agents honored
A gym has been planned, as well as a relaxation area. The municipal police officers will be honored by the prefect of Val-d'Oise, Philippe Court, and by the mayor, Philippe Rouleau, during the inauguration of the building.
