If, in the majority of heterosexual couples, the man is older than the woman, the opposite is increasingly evident. Evidence of this INSEE figures on the subject which, as early as 2016, noted that 16% of couples formed in the 2000s presented a configuration where the woman was the eldest compared to 10% for those formed in the 1960s. In 2019, an investigation by sociologist Marie Bergström, conducted among users of the Meetic platform, demonstrated that“after 40, women turn more easily to younger men.” Examples of personalities appearing with a younger man are also legion. But they are not free from prejudices and unfortunate reflections. For Released, several women testify to their meeting with a younger man, to their experiences with him, and, thus, to the ways in which they are looked at. Today, Françoise (1), 77 years old, retired from Millau (Aveyron), in a civil partnership with Eric (1), 60 years old, has long believed that their story would not last.
