Nazi tags, hunting rifle thefts, stolen jewelry… Nièvre news in brief

Street of “artists”…

Graffiti appeared on rue Camille-Baynac, in Garchizy, Tuesday, December 31: an end-of-year “gift” that the municipality would have done without. An investigation was opened by the gendarmerie. These could be young people who have not necessarily grasped the political significance of some of their “drawings”.

The hunter has his guns stolen

An improvident hunter had his two hunting rifles stolen, placed prominently in the passenger compartment of his car parked in Cosne-sur-, Monday December 30. The opportunist(s) broke a window of the vehicle before seizing the two weapons.

One injured in road accident

A vehicle with three people on board went off course on departmental road 978, at the entrance to Billy-Chevannes, Thursday January 1, shortly after 10 a.m. One of the occupants of the car, injured, was transported to the hospital center.

Burglary

A home in Tannay-en-Bazois was the target of one or more thieves. The theft, in this residence, apparently uninhabited all year round, would have taken place between September and January 1, the date on which the misdeed was discovered. Jewelry and a rifle were stolen.

Car burned on a road

Residents of the D212 in Saint-Aubin-les-Forges saw flames coming from a forest on Thursday January 1 around 6 p.m. It was a car on fire on a forest path. Firefighters contained the fire. The owner of the car has not been found, but he does not come from Nièvre.
