Christmas is over, it's time to take the decorations off your tree.
The garlands and balls will return to their box. As for the tree, it will often have to be thrown away…but not just anyhow.
More and more municipalities are setting up collection points to limit illegal dumping, and therefore facilitate collection.
In addition, the fir trees left are recycled. Their broya is often used by city technical services for the maintenance of green spaces throughout the year.
For the 5th consecutive year, the community of municipalities of Cluses is participating in this system. You can drop off your trees in Thyez, Arâches-la-Frasse, Flaine, Cluses, Magland, Marnaz, Mont-Saxonnex, Scionzier and Saint-Sigismond.
Other points exist in the Pays du Mont-Blanc and in the Chamonix valley. The town of Passy alone has implemented 7.
Around twenty have also been set up in the Pays Rochois.
In the Giffre valley, 8 places are available to residents until January 19: in Mieussy, Morillon, Verchaix, Chatillon-sur-Cluses, Taninges, Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval, Samoëns, and at Rivière-Enverse .
Several points are also available in the communities of communes of the country of Evian and the Abondance valley.
