Kaffrine, Jan 2 (APS) – The association ”And taxawou tut tank yi” gave donations on Wednesday to more than 37 orphaned, premature and sick children in the region of Kaffrine (center) in order to assist them in the management of their medical care, noted the APS.
”We are in our third edition of giving donations to the pediatric department of the regional hospital, Thierno Birahim Ndao. For three years, we have been collecting from our members and goodwill, particularly milk for premature and/or sick children, as well as diapers, mineral water, clothes, toys and many others. things, for 37 children,” explained Diarra Cissokho, president of the said association.
According to her, the association organizes a recreational afternoon with the children of poor parents and orphans to accompany them, even if only for a day, so that they feel loved and know that they are part of the community. population.
Ms. Cissokho spoke with journalists at the end of the donation ceremony, in the presence of the head of the pediatrics department, Alioune Samb, health authorities and the children’s parents.
The “And taxawou tut tank yi” Association was created in 2019 but was formalized in 2020, she stressed.
”We continue to carry out activities, because each time, we are asked for this type of action or for the purchase of prescriptions for children from poor families,” she said.
