The old wash house of the Domin fountain has been rehabilitated into a new place of relaxation in the town of Vannecrocq (Eure). This project began two years ago with former mayor Jean-Charles Harou and municipal councilors.

The wash house is a masonry basin without a cover which was cleaned and cleared around twenty years ago by the municipal councilors, as Marc-Antoine Rabel, the mayor elected in September 2024 following Jean-Charles, would like to point out. Harou.

It is located on a hiking path where many people pass: hikers, mountain bikers, horse riders and families. To get to this washhouse, you have to take the direction of Gros Caillou and follow the path to the Domin fountain in the hollow of the valley, in a landscape mixing forest and agricultural countryside. A calm and peaceful place where it is good to relax and admire nature.

New picnic table

This is why, for greater conviviality, the town hall has decided toarrange this place by installing a table to share moments with family or friends while having a picnic.

Marc-Antoine Rabel finalized this project on Saturday December 14, 2024 with municipal councilors Philippe Cardon, Gabin Truchet and Hervé Jonckeau who were there to install a concrete table that will not move over time.

Elected officials also worked to repair of the bridge for more convenient access and secure, during two intense days of work.

For the mayor, this renovation, in addition to preserving and highlighting the heritage of the town, will give this place a certain form of life and allow walkers and residents to meet there and share moments of chat and serenity.
