Carole Delga, president of the Pyrenees-Mediterranean Region, brought together this Friday, December 13, in , the elected officials of the permanent commission in order to vote on a package of aid for the 13 departments of the territory.

In the Lot, at the suggestion of Carole Delga, 84 files will receive regional aid representing a total amount of €0.7 million. Focus on the main projects (non-exhaustive list): Pradines, the sports complex is getting a makeover. Frequented by around twenty clubs and schools, the sports complex hosts departmental and regional meetings. Inaugurated in 1989, this facility in Grand Cahors was closed in early 2024 for renovation.

The work aims to improve its energy balance and make it accessible to all audiences. 1650 m2 of roof were removed asbestos, made airtight and insulated. All exterior joinery, heating and ventilation systems have been changed.

In addition, an elevator will serve all levels and places for people with reduced mobility have been created as close as possible to the entrances. Alongside these improvements which will increase the comfort of athletes while generating energy savings, the aesthetics of the building have been optimized by the redevelopment of the entrance, insulation and cladding of the exterior facades.

From mid-February, the public will once again be able to enjoy the modernized complex thanks to regional aid of €175,000.

In Cahors, restored paintings. During the long transformation which preceded its reopening in 2022, the Henri-Martin museum carried out a restoration campaign for the works in its collection. The Region, which supports the modernization of this cultural facility, also contributed via aid of €2,700 to restore nine paintings in order to better showcase them. HAS

Payrac, the Proxi changes hands.

Since October 1st, the Proxi supermarket in Payrac has new owners. It's a

couple from the town who took over the multi-service grocery store, with a line of

strong leadership: working with as many local producers as possible. The Region supported them with €23,000. Well located and very busy, especially during the tourist season, this business provides a local service to residents in a catchment area of ​​around fifteen kilometers. In Lavergne, place for a city park. At the start of 2025, the town's athletes will be able to train in basketball, volleyball and football on the multi-sport field set up in place of the old disused tennis court. As an extension, four fitness machines will be installed. A track

athletics will run alongside this new equipment, supplemented by a play area for the little ones. The Region is devoting €18,200 to the creation of the city park which will also benefit school children and Lavergne sports associations.

Bach, a more modern town hall.

Since mid-September, the town hall has been under construction. Supported by the Region to the tune of 21,000

€, the municipality has undertaken to bring the insulation and accessibility of the building up to standard… Without forgetting the installation of a heat pump, a water recovery system, the creation of toilets, a relaxation area, a bicycle shelter, and even a charging point for cell phones for pilgrims on the Way of Saint James. In the summer of 2025, residents will benefit from optimal comfort. In Lalbenque,

the nursing home is pushing up the walls. In order to respond to new demands for medical facilities and collaboration, the community of communes of Pays de Lalbenque Limogne has decided to expand the first multi-professional health center created in the Lot in 2013. Since March, the establishment has had a waiting room and two additional consultation rooms, housed in a modular building. The Region has mobilized €10,000 for this extension which makes it possible to improve the health offer in the region.

In Porte-du-Quercy, refurbishment of municipal housing.

The Region granted €10,000 to the municipality to help it renovate the house adjoining the old Boulvé school. Scheduled for the last quarter of 2025, the work program plans to insulate the walls, the roof and to change all the joinery, in order to reduce the energy bill. The 124 m2 property will be rented by the town hall which, by responding to the demand for properties to rent, contributes to maintaining the population.
