The Lions will try to qualify for the next CHAN by defeating Liberia this Saturday. For captain Ben Ahmad Ba, there is no other choice but to win.

Held in a 1-1 defeat in the first leg, the local Senegal National Team will try, Saturday at the Abdoulaye-Wade Stadium in the return match of the second and final round of the qualifiers for CHAN 2024 against Liberia, to return to the group stage of the competition. More than an objective, it is an obligation forhe Lions who are the title holders. Captain Ben Ahmad Ba seems well and truly aware of the stakes.

“I think what will be decisive is to enter the match well, to have maximum concentration and determination. You have to know that we are at home and that we are the defending champion. We have to go and defend this title and that happens through this match. We must gagner. Now we know the opponent better, unlike the first match. We got some ideas of how Liberia plays”the Jaraaf midfielder tells us, adding that they “will need the contribution of the public and all Senegalese”.
