Pablo Correa (AS Lorraine): “We don’t get excited”

The coach of AS Lorraine, first in the National Championship, Pablo Correa returned to the columns of the Est Républicain on his team's first part of the season and on the objectives for the future. Excerpts.

“We are on target to achieve the objective of returning to Ligue 2 that we set ourselves at the start of the season. We are in a championship where many teams play lying poker, hiding their ambitions. This is not our case. For our part, from the start, we expressed our desire to return to L2, but we did it with all the necessary humility. Even today, we remain humble, knowing that absolutely nothing is being done. A team currently 6th in the ranking is not at all excluded from the race.

[…] I think there will be two periods. First the winter period, until the end of February-beginning of March, with the cold and difficult training conditions. Then, the most decisive period until the final sprint. It still goes a long way. We're not getting excited, we're not even halfway through the championship! There are 18 days left. That's four more matches than we've already played. »
