In Quimper and Concarneau, the magic of Christmas continues

Like last year, at Place Saint-Corentin in , a 300 m² roller track was installed on December 5 and will be open until January 5. It was the skaters Annette Dytrt and Yannick Bonheur who inaugurated it, performing a few pirouettes which amazed the mayor, Isabelle Assih. Former skater Philippe Candeloro was also present but without rollers. To liven up this track, numerous activities were organized around roller skating, including a dance evening with DJ on December 28 and January 5 from 9 p.m. The track is open every day with the possibility of learning about rollerblading and discovering different practices, including being able to already stand up with rollerblades on your feet. And it’s not a win for everyone.

Concarneau has also installed its ice rink on the square in front of Les Halles. Alas, no ice but synthetic, much more ecological and economical. The track can accommodate up to twenty people, duly wearing rollerblades.

Parade on the banks of the Odet

For those who don't like risk, three events are organized in Quimper. On the afternoon of December 28, 2024, departing from Place Saint-Corentin, they will be able to attend a musical stroll by brass bands and hip-hop dancers on the theme of New .

Sunday December 29 from 5:30 p.m., a large parade will be organized on the quays of the Odet with an animal operetta of gigantic giraffes. The more sporty will also be able to take part in a large disguised bullfight which will take place the same evening from 7:15 p.m. and will allow you to discover the oldest districts of Quimper.

In addition to the ice rink, Concarneau has focused this year on concerts and shows to enliven the city until December 29. On Saturday 28 from 5:30 p.m., the trio Hotslap will have the audience dancing to rock tunes. Magician Stefane Laurens will captivate the audience on the same day, combining humor and magic. And to close all the festivities, the Company “Y'a un trou dans l'Mur” will light the fire with its street show “Feu Folly”, a mixture of dance, handling of flaming objects and music. There should be sparks.

And throughout the holidays, until January 5, you can also admire the superb illuminations of Quimper by Passeurs de Lumière.
