Wishing to expand the Technopôle Diderot, the Agglomeration wishes to settle on the neighboring tenement, owned by the City of Roanne, on which the Maison Augagneur is located.
During the municipal council meeting of December 19, Raphaël Plasse, elected from the opposition for the 88% group, was concerned about the rehousing of associations forced to leave the premises on rue Augagneur and asked if financial aid was provided by the City to compensate for rent increases or moving costs.
It was Marie-Laure Dana-Burnichon, deputy mayor in charge of community life, who responded: “All the associations housed at Maison Augagneur were offered a rehousing solution and common ground was found with all of these associations.
No financial compensation
The assistant, however, clarified that the Multiple Sclerosis patients of Roannais had refused a first proposal at the Veterans' Center, then a second at the Jacques-Brel space before finding a solution themselves at the Notre-Dame center, avenue from Lyon.
For the second part of the question, “no financial compensation is planned, but the City has fully assumed its role in supporting associations and finding satisfactory solutions,” assured the elected official.
She also insisted on “the leading role played by Opheor in the rehousing of the two associations permanently housed in Maison Augagneur: La Roche APARU and the Rimbaud association”.
The social landlord has also granted the latter an exceptional extension of the provision of the premises on rue Augagneur, “to allow them to calmly manage their move to their future premises”, concluded Marie-Laure Dana-Burnichon.
