The Festival of Lights plays overtime in Lyon.

From this Thursday, December 26 2024, and until the 31st, the facade of the Fourvière basilica will be illuminated by the sound and light show of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

And show de 18 minutes which should delight spectators.

Already illuminated at the beginning of December

The Fourvière basilica had already been illuminated at the same time as the Festival of Lights, from December 5 to 7. But the spectators only hada short version of the showor 10 minutes.

The idea was to avoid having too many people crowded in one place. The circulation of flows had thus been well managed.

But from this Thursday, December 26, and until the 31st, the show returns. And this in its complete version, i.e. 18 minutes. The screenings will therefore take place from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. every day during this period.

A creation, rich in animations 3Dwhich is accompanied by a soundtrack highlighting vocal music, from opera to vocal jazz, from traditional tunes to sacred works, from Verdi and Puccini to contemporary composers, from the overtone voice to international choirs and a vocal ensemble from Lyon.

All of this, including a theme which must pay “tribute to the women of Lyon”.

The Region of Enlightenment. From December 26 to 31 from 6:45 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.

Entrance: rue Roger-Radisson.
Exits: climb of Cardinal-Decourtray, climb of Nicolas-de-Lange.
