Three restaurants with terrace 82 m², 116 m² and 153 m²the chapel of 345 m² with a terrace and a store 80 m² : Here are the five premises within the Hôtel-Dieu de Rennes for which a call for applications has been launched as part of the rehabilitation project of the historic site.
Gastronomic, cultural or event projects
Apart from the three restaurants necessarily linked to a gastronomic project, the other premises will be able to host cultural or event projects. The offer must be open to all audiences and all budgets, 6 days a week and continuously, with a time range at least from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m..
In the call for applications, Vicartem and Linkcity boast the “exceptional” location, halfway between the lively city center and the 30 hectares of the Saint-Martin meadows. They also talk about Rennes as an epicenter of innovation and creativity with a booming culinary scene and avant-garde culture, showing the dynamism of the city. The marketing of these premises offers “a unique opportunity for restaurateurs, merchants and event creators who wish to participate in this excitement”.
Five spaces
The call for projects concerns “several strategic spaces” within the Hôtel Dieu:
- Three catering cells with covered and outdoor terraces ideal for innovative and different culinary concepts.
- A chapel, an exceptional and atypical place, to be reinvented to accommodate unique cultural or event projects, open to all.
- A perfect business to complete the site's offering with an activity aligned with the spirit of the place.
Opening in 2026
Applications are open until March 31, 2025 for opening in 2026.
The Hôtel-Dieu requalification project provides for the creation of 8,640 m² spaces dedicated to leisure and services: shops, hostels (You Are Rennes), coworking (Now Coworking), urban leisure and microbrewery (The Roof Origines).
