Seine-et-Marne: in Meaux, the filming of a rap clip turns into a confrontation with the police

Sunday evening was particularly eventful in the Beauval district of . And this, following the filming of an unauthorized rap clip, since it had not been the subject of a prior declaration of demonstration. An event which brought together around fifty people in a parking lot adjacent to the Aquitaine and Argonne buildings.

The urban violence, which started around 10 p.m., took place at the corner of rue d'Alembert and avenue de l'Appel on June 18, 1940. The first police officers intervened on the spot, on foot, to control the pilot of a motocross bike who is going randomly. A mission that they were unable to fulfill: as soon as they arrived, they received projectiles from the participants in the clip.

Trash cans set on fire

No fewer than seven police crews, including patrols from the BAC (anti-crime brigade), were mobilized as reinforcements. They too were the target of mortar fire. The officials then used their defensive ball launchers and their Cougar grenade launchers.

The police carried out a second intervention, around 11 p.m., on the same avenue, following fires in garbage containers set up like barricades. The police were once again the target of mortar fire. Triggering return fire, several dozen in total. Calm returned around midnight. Two officials were injured: one of them was burned on the left thigh, the second was hit in the left arm. An investigation was opened for violence against a person holding public authority and for damage. For the moment, no one has been arrested.
