But he wanted to make 14 of his employees work to open his doors all day on Sunday, December 29.

The prefecture, in a decree, refuses it. For her, the company Covicar 71 (the legal entity of Carrefour d'Albi) has no not concluded a collective agreement “concerning the compensation granted to employees deprived of Sunday rest as well as the commitments made in terms of employment or in favor of certain groups in difficulty or disabled people”.

State services also note thatno referendum was not organized “among the people concerned”. As a result, the procedure defined by the labor code “was not respected”. And the exemption from Sunday rest refused for the 14 employees. Please note, however, that the hypermarket is usually still open on Sunday morning. It can therefore be on December 29.
