Arriving in the lead at the shooting range, Justine Braisaz-Bouchet made a mistake from the start (4/5), unlike Franziska Preuss who refueled and took the lead in the race. The Frenchwoman comes out 2e 20 seconds ahead of the Ukrainian Yulia Dzhima and Julia Simon who gained three places thanks to her flawless performance.

Justine Braisaz-Bouchet takes almost ten seconds from the German as she approaches the shooting range, but the latter achieves full advantage again and keeps the lead. Unfortunately, the Frenchwoman (7/10) and her compatriot Julia Simon (8/10) made two mistakes each and came out respectively 7e et 12e. On the French side, it is Jeanne Richard who moves up the rankings with a 10/10 in shooting, she takes 6e temporary place.

Touched but far from being defeated, Justine Braisaz-Bouchet skis very quickly and climbs back to 3e place before the first standing shot, despite his three penalty rounds. The 22-year-old Frenchwoman skied slower than her German competitor and let her escape towards the podium. She still achieved the best result of her career with a nice 4e place in front of an excited French audience.
