Before getting dressed to the nines to celebrate the New Year on New Year's Eve, Tisséo's public transport offering is strengthening in the agglomeration of Toulousefrom this December 22, 2024for the last Sunday before Christmas, when most businesses will be open in the Pink City. Update on the main measures for the end-of-year holidays.
Before Christmas, the network strengthened this Sunday
Last Sunday before Christmas, this December 22, 2024 will be auspicious for the race for gifts last minute, for many Toulouse residents and residents of the urban area. Consequently, the metro lines A and B will be strengthened, announces Tisséo. The same will apply to the frequency of some of the main bus lines of the territory, namely the L2, L8, L9, L10, 19, 44, 78.
This same Sunday, the city center shuttle will operate exceptionally from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., without passing through Place du Capitole, while the “Rémusat” stop will not be served.
Parking in park and ride areas
More than ever, Tisséo invites you to think about Parc Relais to park on the outskirts of Toulouse with complete peace of mind. Remember that parking in these infrastructures, many of which are located near the metro and tram terminals, is totally free for Tisséo travelers… provided you have validated your transport ticket in the hour before release.
Tisséo’s arrangement for the New Year
- The metro will run all night
As for the New Year's Eve of the New Year's Eveof Tuesday December 31, 2024 au Wednesday January 1, 2025, Tisséo also plans to significantly strengthen its offering, starting with the Toulouse metro. Like every year, lines A and B will operate all night.
- The tram plays overtime
Still for this New Year's Eve, regarding the tramwaythe trains will run later than usual. Concretely, the last departure from Palais de Justice is scheduled at 2:20 a.m., and that of MEETT at 1:23 a.m.
- Evening buses up to 2 hours
For the busevening lines L1, L2, L3, L4, L5, L6, L8, L9, L10, L11, L14, 18, 19, 39, 44, 78 et 79 will be extended until around 2 hours in the morning, announces Tisséo.
Please note that for transport on demand (TAD), the public transport authority in the urban area announces a final departure of the TAD line 106 2h30 from Balma-Gramont, TAD 119 2h30 from Ramonville, and TAD 171 at 3:05 a.m. from Aeroconstellation.
As a reminder, from 10 p.m., on all Linéo and evening bus lines, it has now been possible for several weeks to ask to get off between two stops, as close as possible to home.
