Change of name for the brasserie “Chez Olympe”, 4 place Nationale, now “Le Miroir” but no change of artistic decor since the new owners maintain the rotating exhibition of Véronique Bouvier-Serre who exhibits her works by renewing them regularly.
The Montalbanese artist, medalist of Arts and Letters and member of the independent artists followed training at the municipal drawing school of Montauban. Passionate about drawing since childhood, encouraged by her teachers, the vagaries of life prevented her from moving towards Fine Arts. However, she has hung her paintings, gouaches on paper or acrylics on canvas, on the walls of many galleries, in France and abroad, from where she has won numerous awards.
Véronique Bouvier-Serre's specificity, and what she really likes to practice, is commissioned work: she goes to the person who wants an (abstract) painting in order to soak up the atmosphere, to know the person better and create a work that will suit their tastes.
“I respect desires and rejections, some people don't like circles, for example, so my painting will not be undulating! Others are “allergic” to certain colors or on the contrary want to harmonize my work with the atmosphere dominant of their intimacy,” she explains.
The exhibition is not only reserved for Miroir clients, however, it is only open from noon to 2 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Please note, “Le Miroir” is closed from December 23 to 26 and from December 30 to January 1.
