Aviron Bayonnais finds itself at the heart of a case before the industrial tribunal.
On May 31, an employee of the Basque club was dismissed for serious misconduct.
Aviron Bayonnais accuses him in particular of having made sexist remarks during a post-match evening but also of having misappropriated match tickets.
For her part, the ex-employee formally denies what she is accused of.
She believes she was fired because she was close to Yannick Bru, the former manager of Bayonne.
As a reminder, Bayonne president Philippe Tayeb and former manager Yannick Bru are on bad terms.
The ex-employee believes she pays for being close to Yannick Bru.
A meeting between the two parties took place before the Bayonne industrial tribunal, this Thursday, December 19, but no agreement was reached between the two parties.
The Sud-Ouest newspaper reveals the details of this affair.
The Basque club explains that the employee would have asked a player to choose between three employees of the club, if he had the choice. Extract:
“If you had a choice, which one would you choose? »
The employee’s lawyer speaks of a relaxed third half. Extract:
“Everyone had a laugh!”
On the Bayonne side, we are complaining. Extract:
“We’re telling you it’s a joke, when it’s just ordinary sexism. »
The Bayonne club criticizes him for other comments. Extract:
“She spread a rumor about an employee, being surprised at the privileges she would have by being close to the president. She insinuates that if she is in this place, it is because she has intimate relations with him. »
Bayonne also criticizes this employee for having offered stadium tickets to her loved ones.
The former employee is claiming 20,000 euros for abusive termination of contract and 25,000 euros in overtime payment, then 25,000 euros in subsequent amounts (right to disconnect and hidden work).
A total of 70,000 euros.
The decision will be rendered on March 6, 2025.
