The City of Saint-Malo is organizing the 2nd edition of the “Let’s Liberate Nature” photo competition. Also if you are a lover of photography and nature inspires you, this photo competition is an opportunity to unleash your creativity. The deadline for participation is January 27, 2025. The selected photos illustrating biodiversity in Saint-Malo will be presented to the public during the “Let’s Liberate Nature” exhibition scheduled for April 17 to 27, 2025. The competition is open to all , amateurs (adults and children) and professional photographers. Participation in the competition is open and free.
Biodiversity in the spotlight
The subject of the photograph(s) must highlight one or more species of plant, insect, arthropod, amphibian, reptile, mammal, bird, or any other being living (other than a human being) observed in the urban environment in the territory of Saint-Malo.
The photograph may also present an interaction between several living beings (including an interaction between a human being and a species, for example an insect placed on a hand) or between a living being and an urban element.
Three categories of photos are proposed: biodiversity of parks and gardens (public and private, etc.); coastal biodiversity (port areas, beaches, etc.); biodiversity of streets (road elements, squares, buildings, etc.).
A jury will meet in February 2025 to select the photographs of the participants presented anonymously.
