The stay of a group of around twenty American students in Finistère ends this Thursday, December 19, after around ten days during which they were able to meet and interact with many stakeholders in the region.
The Quimper-Cornouaille tourist office was behind this trip. For these students from the University of Cincinnati (faculty of architecture-fashion-design and fine arts), whose programs are ranked among the best in the world, it was a question of getting to know Finistère and of discover its many facets; a very rich cultural heritage but also territories and actors who are very cutting edge today.
These young Americans were able to benefit from a dense and targeted program thanks to the help of Anne-Marie Jézéquel, from Brest and professor emeritus at the University of Cincinnati, who put together visits allowing them to discover exceptional sites like the country Abers, the Virgin lighthouse, Pointe Saint-Mathieu and Quimper obviously.
They were also able to meet and discuss with the players who make our region famous: Armor-Lux, the Le Minor workshops, Pascal Jaouen, Yann Lagoutte, Cadiou Industrie…
Stéphanie Le Berre, responsible for marketing and communications at the tourist office, is already planning to repeat the experience next year, because these young Americans are visibly delighted with their Breton stay.
