Ski resorts continue to open around Nice (Alpes-Maritimes). This Saturday, December 21, it’s the turn of Gréolières 1400 and Roubion-les-Buisses to inaugurate their tracks. At least, in part.
Here’s everything you need to know before the big day.
Only three tracks
This year, Gréolières 1400 will operate at reduced speed. The “four seasons” station will only open the ESF area and three green slopes on all 25 tracks (all colors combined) that it has.
And for good reason: the restricted opening is linked “to cultivation snow conditions”details the mayor, Marc Malfatto. “The slopes can be snow-covered this way since the temperature conditions are much more favorable.”
Alone three of the eight lifts will be accessible from 9 a.m. Due to a lack of conditions for downhill skiing, the Huskies chairlift (10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) will for the moment only be accessible to pedestrians.
Parallel fun arrangements
In the absence of numerous leads, Gréolières capitalizes on “a certain number of small fun arrangements which reinforce the practice of skiing”, adds Marc Malfatto: a treasure hunt (from 10 a.m.) or even “snooc” (combining skiing and sledding) and giant bowling (both from 4:30 p.m.).
The Alpina hostel, the Essentiel grocery store, the equipment rental centers and the resort’s restaurants will also be open.
In any case, it will be necessary to take into account 15 euros per adult for one day, and 14 for children under 12. For half a day, the price drops slightly: 13 euros for older children, 12 for toddlers.
And elsewhere, in Roubion
Roubion – Les Buisses opens continuously during the Christmas holidays and winter holidays. Otherwise, the Buisses station will only be open on weekends.
Allow 20 euros for an adult daily pass, 15 euros for children under 12 years old. Booking online allows you to make a slight saving (18 for adults, 14 for toddlers).
For a day and a night, you will have to pay 48 euros… A particularly reasonable sum, according to Holidu, which ranks the resort third among the least expensive in Europe.
