Senegal honored with the election of the General Administrator of GAINDE 2000, Ibrahima Nour Eddine Diagne, as Vice-President of the Pan-Asian Electronic Commerce Alliance (PAA).
Manila, Philippines, December 17, 2024 – GAINDE 2000 General Administrator, Ibrahima Nour Eddine Diagne, has been elected Vice President of the Pan-Asian E-Commerce Alliance. This was on the occasion of the 70th meeting of the Steering Committee and Working Group, held in Manila, Philippines, from November 11 to 13, 2024.
This election thus reflects recognition of Senegalese expertise beyond its borders and of the country’s significant contribution to the development and promotion of electronic commerce in the world. The one and only African sitting on the PAA Steering Committee, the arrival of Ibrahima Nour Eddine Diagne will be a huge contribution to the Pan-Asian Electronic Commerce Alliance. Its vast and rich experience in digitalization will enable this organization to meet the many current challenges facing e-commerce.
The election of the GA of GAINDE 2000 within the Pan-Asian Electronic Commerce Alliance is an opportunity for Senegal which will further shine in the global trade ecosystem.
GAINDE 2000 is one of the oldest digital one-stop shop manufacturers and operators worldwide since 2004.
Other members were elected during these meetings. They are Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Haji Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed Tahir Jamalullail (Malaysia), appointed as PAA President while Francis Lopez (Philippines), CEO of Inter Commerce, and AJ Smith, CEO of TradeWindow (New Zealand), were appointed vice-presidents.

The Pan Asian e-Commerce Alliance (PAA) brings together international trade platforms from 20 countries, including Senegal, and works to simplify and digitize cross-border trade processes. Each year, the PAA processes several hundred million customs declarations and aims to strengthen international trade infrastructure, facilitating businesses’ access to global markets while reducing trade-related costs and delays.
