Around thirty choristers will ring out the cathedral of Saint-Pierre for the Christmas Eve on December 24. A few days before the celebrations, there are still many adjustments to be made.
On the program for the Christmas mass, around fifteen songs including Midnight Christian, Angelic hearts or even the Pastoral of Arifon, much appreciated by the singers.

During two hours of rehearsal, the voices of the parish choir singers resonate in unison or in canon. Under the leadership of Gorges Cambray, a former teacher converted into a conductor, the students listen attentively to his wise advice:

The tenors on one side agree with the altis on the other. In the center, the organist sets the tempo. Loïc Detcheverry appropriates the pieces and admits his difficulties:
I am self-dictated, I learned on the job. Some pieces you have to be good with your fingers, it’s difficult.

On the occasion of this vigil, new singers came to complete the ranks, such as Cécilia Riethmuller, a chorister for only two months. For Joanne Briand, a member of the choir for many years, this is a great end-of-year gift:
There is a hard core, but we really want to expand. On the occasion of Christmas mass we have some new people and we are absolutely delighted.
