It is thanks to the connections of Isore Ogier d’Ivry, secretary of the association Les Amis de l’église, that a very beautiful exhibition of nativity scenes is visible in Saint-Pavace. On either side of the nave, two stands showcase 130 small and large figurines which decorate around ten nativity scenes. A glass roof also highlights some remarkable figurines.
Visible every Sunday
This small church, much less prestigious than the Saint-Julien cathedral in Le Mans, is no less interesting to visit with its Romanesque nave, with its sober appearance, and its campanile bell tower. We will be able to understand the origin and history of Saint Pavace who was the 3e bishop of Le Mans in the middle of the 4th centurye century. His relics were transferred to the Saint-Sauveur monastery, where a church was built on the ruins of this monastery in the 11the century.
+ Saint-Pavace. A warm and popular Christmas market
The current church was rebuilt in the 15the and 16e centuries. You can also see objects classified as historical monuments or discover the stained glass window on the facade which represents Pavace fighting the forces of evil.
The visits have been organized since the beginning of December every Sunday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., including Christmas Day and Sunday January 5 for the last

The members of the association will not fail to guide and inform visitors.
