As part of the “Christmas in Istres” entertainment program, the town of Istres will offer two sporting and artistic strolls this weekend which will result in temporary road restrictions.
The first stroll of this Christmas in Istres will take place this Saturday, December 21, 2024 from 5 p.m. “In Pursuit of Christmas” will leave from Place René-Prola (Church of the Holy Family). This is the first edition of a sporting adventure to be enjoyed as a family, specifies the town of Istres. It will be possible to run, dance and sing in partnership with Istres Sport Athlétisme. Registrations for races (children, for all and PMR) are made at the Tourist Office. A DJ evening, from 7 p.m., will extend the party with DJ Mattéo and the participation of Complexe 99.

The circulation of all vehicles will be prohibited on Saturday December 21 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the same roads.
“Santa Claus arrives in Istres”
Second highlight of this weekend, Sunday December 22, 2024 from 5 p.m., the city offers “Santa Claus is coming to Istres”. This time the meeting is on the Charles-de-Gaulle esplanade. “The Blancotons, stilt walkers, musicians and circus artists from the Tewhoola company. Accompanied by the Rowers of the Olivier, Santa Claus will disembark on the pontoon at 5:30 p.m. before a musical and choreographed parade up to the “Christmas aisles”, alleys Jean-Jaurès”, details the city.
