This Friday, December 13, the two women, committed under the colors of La France Insoumise, discovered a sign in front of their respective homes. An unequivocal inscription: ‘1 good wolf is 1 dead wolf’.
A surprise in very bad taste awaited Kateline Durand, departmental councilor, and Camille Valabrègue, candidate for the 2022 legislative elections in the third constituency of Aveyron alongside Michel Rhin, and candidate for the Millau municipal elections in 2020.
This Friday, December 13, the two women, committed under the colors of La France Insoumise, discovered a sign in front of their respective homes. An unequivocal inscription: ‘1 good wolf is 1 dead wolf’.
“We can see two readings and wonder who the wolf is”asks Kateline Durand, who sees a clear threat. An attempt at intimidation taken very seriously by the two female politicians.“Especially since it’s our home, that means that the people who did this have clearly identified us, while we know nothing about them”points out Camille Valabrègue, pointing out an anonymous mode of action, at night.
Do not let violence against elected officials pass
After the shock, the two activists do not intend to give up.“This does not call into question my commitment and my values”underlines the elected departmental representative. Both only regret an action which does not allow debate.
“Here we are on the subject of wolves, but we are also mobilized alongside breeders, we meet them and we have always been open to discussions”explains Kateline Durand. “We do not want to be intimidated, and we will continue to open the debate as soon as possible”adds Camille Valabrègue.
A complaint has already been filed. “We cannot let this type of thing happen against elected officials and political figures”conclude the two women.
