Sunday, December 15 around 5:30 p.m., police officers on patrol in the area of the Part-Dieu station in Lyon (3rd) noticed the behavior of two young people, who were hiding behind a pole to discreetly watch the content of a computer bag. When they headed towards the metro station, the police decided to follow them and, arriving on the line B platform, they checked them. The young people, homeless people aged 20 and 21, unfavorably known, were in possession of a computer bag, containing a PC and a tear gas canister, and a sports bag containing a telephone, as well as a bulletproof vest and handcuffs from the national police. Unable to justify the origin of these objects, the young people were placed in police custody.
Eight months in prison
The investigation made it possible to identify the owners, who had filed a complaint at the Roanne police station (Loire), for thefts from the trailer committed during the previous night. The owner of the computer had it stolen from her car, smashed with a manhole cover. The second victim is a police officer, whose bag containing his professional equipment was stolen in the same way.
