The Government Council, meeting Thursday in Rabat, adopted draft decree No. 2.24.1096 on the status of the staff of the General Delegation for Prison Administration and Reintegration (DGAPR), presented by the Minister Delegate in charge of Digital transition and administrative reform, Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni.
This project is part of an overall review of the DGAPR staff status to adapt it to the nature of the sector and the specificity of the missions and professional obligations of this category of State agents, indicates a press release from the delegated ministry responsible for Relations with Parliament, government spokesperson.
The project includes new regulatory provisions concerning the management of the administrative and professional career of these agents, particularly in terms of designations, hierarchy of executives, grades and procedures for recruitment, demarcation, training and promotion, adds the press release. .

The text aims to increase management, training and risk remuneration and to create compensation for specific charges, taking into account the enormity of the responsibilities fulfilled by prison officers and the high incidence of professional risks linked to the exercise of their functions, as well as to improve their financial and social conditions, which will help to motivate them to join the various programs and improve their professional performance.
The press release also indicates that the examination of draft decree No. 2.24.730 establishing the Regional Delegation of Tourism, Crafts, Social and Solidarity Economy, Youth, Culture and of Communication and determination of the responsibilities and organization of the said Delegation, and of draft decree No. 2.24.731 establishing the regional delegation of Commerce, Industrial Production and extractive and economic integration, and the determination of its attributions and its organization, was postponed to a later meeting of the government council.
