An impressive collision occurred this Thursday, December 19, 2024 early in the morning in Montauban (Tarn-et-Garonne). A young motorist hit a scooter, throwing the driver against a traffic gantry. The injured 51-year-old driver was taken to hospital in a fire ambulance.

Around 8:20 a.m., a Citroën C3, driven by a 20-year-old woman, collided with a 125 cc scooter driven by a 51-year-old man.

The young driver apparently thought she could move on, as a vehicle coming in the opposite direction had stopped to give way to her.
However, she did not see the scooter arriving opposite. The latter was unable to avoid the collision. The violence of the impact threw the two-wheeler against a signaling gantry installed on the central reservation.
Quickly alerted, firefighters from the Montauban rescue center took care of the scooter driver, injured in a hand, an elbow and the lower back. The fifty-year-old was transported to the emergency room of the Montauban hospital center.
