: 360-degree short films in a dome for an immersive experience

It’s an original activity to do with family or friends during your walks in the city center during the end-of-year holidays. Since December 13, the dome installed in the archbishopric garden has been offering original projections for an immersive experience via 3 different short films. The opportunity to immerse yourself in the heart of the image thanks to this “Tadamm Immersive” animation, created by a company from , which explored its concept in Eure-et-Loir before coming to settle down in Berry until February 16.

A psychedelic dive into the world of Pink Floyd

Comfortably installed in a deckchair, the spectator plunges 360 degrees into the world of Pink Floyd with a film produced for the 50th anniversary of “Dark Side Of The Moon”, the legendary album of the British group. The images scroll and the titles follow one another for a special experience: “It’s completely psychedelic! » laughs Michael Couzigou, the president of “Tadamm Immersive”. “We really feel the world of Pink Floyd. What’s really interesting is letting yourself be carried away by the and the image. It’s a magnificent journey.”

Music, dinosaurs and space!

A large canvas surrounds us, 4 video projectors broadcast simultaneously, accompanied by a 5.1 sound system to experience complete immersion in the 3 short films offered. In addition to the one about Pink Floyd, you can also discover a film on the history of dinosaurs aimed at young audiences and another on the Apollo and Artemis space missions: “These are films that were produced for this immersive dome format. This allows viewers to truly step inside the image. We are no longer simply a spectator, but also a bit of an actor! It’s virtual reality, but without a headset. » It takes between 30 and 45 minutes per session depending on the short film you are watching.

Attract to the city center

The Ferris wheel last year, the immersive dome this year: the Municipality regularly offers new activities during the holidays: “Every year, there is additional entertainment” rejoices Constance Bonduelle, deputy mayor responsible for the animation and promotion of the city. “The idea is to offer new things to further energize the city center, attract the public and also encourage people who do not live in to come for this holiday season”. The end of the year is a strategic moment, and competition is tough to attract walkers and possible buyers to Berruyer businesses: “ It’s important to stand out. The City is offering things for local residents and to support downtown merchants.”

Sessions at the dome take place from Wednesday to Sunday, prices between 8 and 16 euros. Reservation recommended on the website of “Tadamm immersive“. The film around Pink Floyd should only be visible until the end of December for a rights issue. In January, the creation “Electronic Domes” will be added to the program.
