The Swiss army is modernizing its applications for conscripts. They can now plan their military service there and prepare for their recruitment.

The army is modernizing its digital applications for the approximately 40,000 conscripts reporting each year. They can plan their military service individually and prepare for it as best they can.

Thanks to this recruit school planner, conscripts have the opportunity to organize themselves early enough, depending on their personal situation, the army said in a press release on Thursday. The date of the recruit school or the different periods of choice can, for example, be entered online and shared.

During the information day, the date of the recruit school is then definitively fixed. This update to digital applications allows for better planning and reduces administrative burden.

The new “Function Finder” provides a general overview of the functions offered to the army and civil protection. Conscripts can indicate their interests and qualities and compare them with the requirements for each role. The application filter allows you to target searches and learn more about the different possibilities offered.

Furthermore, “Team Finder” allows conscripts to identify their interests in different army functions, which go far beyond simple combat tasks. These were divided into various categories, namely the four teams: “Help”, “Support”, “Technical” and “Combat”. A quiz also allows conscripts to find the team that suits them best. (ats)
