The end of the year promises to be particularly bountiful in Quimper (Finistère). The shows and activities will intensify during the school holidays, offering every day a good reason to come and stroll through the city center.
The shows should attract crowds. Starting with Gauguin’s turtle on December 20, 2024 at 9 p.m. The public will discover a succession of ephemeral paintings presented on a giant easel. Magic!

On December 21 in the afternoon, a strange bird will parade through the city center: a pink flamingo several meters high with well-oiled mechanics.
Fireworks show
Head to the Créac’h Gwen base on December 23 at 6:15 p.m. for the fireworks show Dragon time. All the ingredients will come together to create wonder: jets of flame, smoke, geysers, light shows, acrobatics…
On December 27, return to the city center at 6 p.m. for a stroll by the company Anime your dreams entitled Stony :
On December 28, the fanfare Red Line Crossers will pay tribute to the brass bands of New Orleans with a wild parade at 4:30 p.m.
The next day, another stroll at 5:30 p.m. giraffes monumental reds guided by a diva, a true lyrical tamer.
Return of bullfighting and Kalanna
After the giraffes have passed, the runners will tour the city center on Sunday, December 29. It is indeed the return of Race with a women’s 6 km race at 7:15 p.m. and a men’s 8 km race at 8:15 p.m.
This end of year also marks the return of fest-noz Calcium (canceled last year). It will take place at the Pavillon de Penvillers on December 31 with the participation of Startijenn, Loened Fall, David Pasquet 3, Mazé-Ligen…
Many other activities will take place over the next 15 days: Christmas decoration workshop, gospel choir, Mother Christmas stroll, musical fable…
Finally, there are the essentials: the photos with Santa Claus, the little ride on the roller dance, the waffles at the market on Place Terre-au-Duc and the magic of sound and lights Incidentally on the cathedral…
