Started during the year 2024, the work of revegetation of the Division de fer station, which will be used for the trolleybus line, are in full swing in downtown Nancy.

A few months after the start of this work, the new square in this neighborhood is gradually taking shape and rejoices the inhabitants.

A popular project

Previously, this station was not very pleasant, very mineral. Thus, the City and the Metropolis wanted to green it. And even though this work has been going on for several months, the Nancy residents interviewed are unanimous: this project can only be beneficial.

A smell that did not surprise

And even if a slight odor because of the compost has appeared recently during planting, no one has really complained about it. “I come from the Vosges so I can assure you that it was minimal,” laughs Hugo, one of the managers of Race System.

Local residents, too, are eager to be able to strollon this esplanade which will almost be fully pedestrianizedon one side. “It’s a great project, it was becoming too industrial with old buildings,” a couple of passers-by told us.

“The place was particularly ugly, it will be prettier, especially in summer», continues another local resident. “I find that bringing greenery in the city makes it more pleasant», continue two students.

Next spring, the laying of 1,000 m² of grass will conclude this project.
