This Thursday, December 19, 2024, the city of Saint-Denis inaugurated the very first wall of expression at the Henri Dunant school in Montgaillard. This wall is a civic and educational project carried out by the Children’s Council of the commune, as part of the School of Happiness (Photos: www.imazpress.com)
More than just a writing support, this wall of expression invites students to take ownership of a new space dedicated to speech and exchange.
A wall that allows kids to say a few words, anonymously or not, and share their emotions, their ideas or a simple message.
For Elisa, 9 years old, “children can write down their feelings, draw during recess with the aim of bringing as much joy as possible and making them want to come to school.” Listen.
Also a good way to fight against school bullying. Listen to Christelle Hassen, elected delegate to the school of happiness.
– Five walls in Saint-Denis schools –
In Saint-Denis, these walls of expression are installed in five schools.
Labeled a “child-friendly city”, Saint-Denis has been working since 2008 for “the development and well-being of Dionysian children” as part of the School of Happiness project.
