In front of the Eugénie-Cotton social center, Santa’s sleigh stopped this Wednesday evening. The sweetness of this end of the day perfectly accompanies this taste of vacation offered to the little ones.
Around 5:30 p.m., a troop of young disguised choristers rushed outside the walls to station themselves in front of the Saint-Louis d’Anjou church. Under the amazed eyes of parents who came in large numbers, phones in hand, the children sang The garlands Clipounets, among other children’s nursery rhymes.
In another register, guitarist Cheche du Tchapaclan provides the musical atmosphere solo, only accompanied by foot percussion. While it resonates Friends first, by Georges Brassens and Ave Cesaria, in Stromae, Santa Claus indulges in his favorite activity: having his photo taken with the good children. Next to it, a game of skill captivates children and parents, in the form of a table equipped with luminous mushrooms, to hit when they light up in the color of your team to win a point.
But while the cakes, drinks, chocolates, quiches and pizzas are displayed outside, offered by the social center, two young people are very seriously running their knick-knack stand. “ It’s self-financing for the summer holidays », summarizes Lenny Plombino, third grade student at Henri-Wallon college. “ We went camping in Avignon for three days last year » with around ten children from the social center, he explains.
Let’s wish them success in their project this year.
