In the middle of the night, several witnesses reported the disturbing presence of a hooded man armed with a Kalashnikov-type firearm on Place Carnot in Nancy.
Quickly, police officers from the intervention section, the dog brigade and the local security group of the national police went to the scene.
To control the individual, the police used an electric shock gun. During his arrest, it turned out that the weapon was fake and that the suspect, with a complex profile, could present “suicidal intentions“, specifies the police.
The man was hospitalized. Investigations must continue with the interdepartmental management of the national police of Meurthe-et-Moselle.
