The events allegedly took place late Tuesday evening. In Aix-en-Provence (Bouches-du-Rhône), in the Montée Bellevue district, two groups of people, in two vehicles, found themselves with “the apparent motive of a narcotics transaction”, said this Wednesday the public prosecutor of Aix-en-Provence Jean-Luc Blachon.
At least one man allegedly got out of a vehicle, his face masked, with a handgun, and shot twice, fatally hitting one of the passengers in the other vehicle, a young man born in 2004, in the neck. A total of three people, aged 20 to 22, were in the targeted vehicle.

No arrests at this stage
All three, including the victim, were known for drug trafficking, but as small hands, underlined the magistrate.
The number of passengers in the shooter’s vehicle is, however, not known and no arrests had yet been made as of late Wednesday morning, as part of this investigation entrusted to the judicial police.
It was not yet possible to determine whether this homicide was premeditated, as part of an organized ambush, or only the consequence of a transaction that went wrong, insisted Jean-Luc Blachon, specifying in passing that the neighborhood where this tragedy took place is not particularly known for its difficult situation.
