If you want a breakfast has any time of the day, this new restaurant will make you salivate… Camille’s has just opened this Friday, December 13, rue de la Colombette in Toulouse, and it promises pancakes, cheese toast et muffin of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
A story of Camille(s)
If the name of their new restaurant is called like this, it is not without reason… “Our name is both Camille! », says Camille, co-manager of the place.
After several years in the middle of starred restaurant alongside three-Michelin-starred chef Yannick Alléno, for him and the star pastryfor her, the couple has embarked on a completely new project: opening a place that resembles them, where their favorite meal is highlighted.
A love affair with breakfast
“We have traveled a lot in our lives, to Mexico, to Australia… and we realized that in many places cultures the breakfast was the most important meal of the day,” adds the 28-year-old.
Each time they returned to France, the two Camille(s) had only one idea in mind: “during our days off, we were always looking for a lieuor have breakfast or brunch . We were lucky that in Paris the offer was great,” explains Camille, the 32-year-old chef.
A new offer for Toulouse
Originally from Montpellier and Biarritz, Camille and Camille wanted to settle in a large southern cityof France for bring an innovative concept . “We didn’t know Toulouse at all, so we found a favorite place, on a street that seemed very busy and with a neighborhood life. Our idea was to energize the street and so people can come here before the other bars or restaurants open.”
A varied menu
Here, exit the idea of a breakfast as we know it. “We wanted a simple card, but more elaborate than a classic brunchwith products we love. We also pay great attention to using ingredients from saison et regional like Toulouse sausage,” adds the chef.
Thinking of those who are reluctant to eat breakfast
For those most nervous about a breakfast menu at 3 p.m., “we offer Alsoaccompaniments like salad a casserole of mushroomand others, to accompany our dishes. The idea is that customers are free to compose their meals as they wish,” conclude the Camille(s).
