Nanterre-Hapoël Holon interrupted several minutes after incidents between pro-Palestinian activists and Israeli supporters

Since the attacks of October 7, 2023 in Israel and the start of the Jewish state’s military operation in the Gaza Strip, the reception of an Israeli club in France has been subject to particular surveillance. This was the case this Wednesday evening in Nanterre which hosted Hapoël Holon in the Champions League. The Alto Sequanais won the match (87-77), but the match was interrupted for several minutes at the start of the third quarter, while the Ile-de-France residents were trailing 43-42 (22nd). A spectator holding a Palestinian flag descended onto the floor before being blocked by venue security near an area where Israeli supporters were gathered.
