A 20-year-old young man shot dead in the street, four suspects on the run

A 20-year-old young man was shot and killed in Aix-en-Provence (Bouches-du-Rhône) this Tuesday late evening, while he was with two other young men. Four suspects fled, according to a source close to the case, confirming information from Blue.

The events took place around 11:15 p.m. in the Bellevue residence. The three young men, including the victim, arrived in an Opel Corsa. “It seems that this young man [la victime] was part of a group of three people who met their attackers during a drug transaction”specified the Aix-en-Provence public prosecutor’s office.

Two 9 mm caliber cases

Four suspects arrived shortly after in a Renault Clio. The victim got out of the Corsa and was the target of at least two gunshots to the neck. The two friends of the seriously injured young man, aged 19 and 22, fled but were found by the police shortly after. The attackers, for their part, left the scene in the victims’ Corsa and the Clio in which they had arrived.

Alerted by local residents, emergency services quickly took care of the 20-year-old young man, but despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead on site at 11:44 p.m. The police carried out observations at this crime scene. They discovered two 9 mm caliber cases.

An investigation was opened and entrusted to police officers from the Organized and Specialized Crime Division (DCOS). The victim and the two young men who accompanied him are known to the police for acts related to drugs.
