Its blue facade is impressive. This half-timbered house is emblematic of the historic center of Quimper (Finistère). It is located precisely rue du Sallevery close to Place au Beurre.
400 m2 in the historic center
“This building is an architectural masterpiece from the 16the century”, describes Christophe Guéguenthe boss of the real estate agency Terre d’Immo, in Quimper.
He has just concluded the sale of this exceptional property. In several ways, starting with its rich heritage and its character. But also its surface 400 m2 right in the city center.
The previous owners bought it in 1978. At the time, there was a flea market on the ground floor and a creperie on the first floor. In 2004, they decided to no longer live there. However, the house was still occupied, but on an occasional basis. And over the past twenty years, it has always been well maintained.
HAS the interiornothing has changed. The furniture is still in place. This is what contributes to its charm. “In some rooms, it feels like time has stopped. The house was sold as is, with all the furniture,” says Christophe Guéguen.
Ten rooms on four levels
In all, this large building has ten pieces on four levels. Christophe Guéguen showed it to Quimper sidea few days before its sale.
You enter via rue du Sallé. The entrance opens directly onto a vast pièce where there is a billiards table. An imposing wooden bar is installed at the bottom.
Access to the upper floors is via a carved wooden staircase. First, welcome to a living room XXL looks like a museum. “It must be between 80 and 90 m2“, slips Christophe Guéguen. A dining room and the kitchen are next door.
We go up one more floor where there are an officea library and a lounge. This space is completely open.
On the ceiling, the exposed beams are elegantly decorated. This floor also houses two bedrooms and a bathroom.
The last level is split into two large spaces, with several bedrooms. Two small bathrooms are hidden in cupboards!
It is rare that such a house has remained as a single property. This is also what makes it unique.
Selling price displayed at nearly a million euros
In his agency, the sale price of this house was around million euros.
However, according to Christophe Guéguen, the deal was concluded quickly. It was early summer. “The marketing of this type of property is very stimulating. It is a source of pride to have been able to make this transaction a reality. It must be said that both parties made the discussions pleasant and fluid. »
The sale was finalized on Wednesday December 18, 2024. The buyers are a couple from Finistère.
