For several days now the six gendarmes of the Conquet brigade, near Brest (Finistère), and their families have been without hot water or heating. A temperature that is close to 10 degrees inside, deplorable living conditions and reception of the public
which forced the institution to temporarily close the opening to the public.

Some gendarmes have had to house their families elsewhere, while the soldiers go to work at the Plouzané brigade.
To date, the situation has improved somewhat with the return of hot water, making it possible to take showers. But for the return of heating, it is announced at best December 23, 2024.

Continuity of services
If the Conquet brigade is closed, it is however still possible to contact the Plouzané gendarmerie, which takes over during the temporary closure of Conquet, on 02 98 45 89 17 or simply on 17, in case of emergency.
