The magic of Christmas arrives in ! This Saturday from 5 p.m., the “In Pursuit of Christmas” parade will leave from Place René-Prola, adjacent to the Church of the Holy Family. This is the first edition of a sporting adventure to be enjoyed as a family. This will be an opportunity to run, dance and sing in partnership with Istres Sport Athlétisme. Registrations for races (children, for all and PMR) are made at the tourist office.

A DJ evening, from 7 p.m., will extend the party with DJ Mattéo and the participation of Complexe 99. This event must take place in the old center, the roads will thus be regulated.

Traffic and parking of all vehicles will be regulated on all roads in the old center (bounded by Boulevard Frédéric-Mistral, Boulevard de la République and Avenue Hélène-Boucher), Saturday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Parking of all vehicles will be prohibited on Saturday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the following roads: rue Paul Charmet, bd de la République, bd Aristide-Briand (from bd Jean-Marie L’Huillier to the entrance to the Carmes underground car park) and avenue Hélène-Boucher (from rue Paul-Charmet to rue de la Pierre du Pébro). The circulation of all vehicles will be prohibited on Saturday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the same roads.

Sunday wandering

Then this Sunday from 5 p.m., time for the “Santa Claus arrives in Istres” stroll. Meet on the Charles-de-Gaulle esplanade with the Blancotons, stilt walkers, musicians and circus artists from the Tewhoola company.

Accompanied by the Rowers of the Olivier, Santa Claus will disembark on the pontoon at 5:30 p.m. before a musical and choreographed parade to the “Christmas aisles”, Allée Jean-Jaurès.

Due to this event, traffic and parking of all vehicles will be regulated on Sunday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the following routes: Esplanade Charles de Gaulle, bd Léon-Blum, chemin du Castellan, bd Frédéric-Mistral, avenue Jean-Lebas and rue Sainte-Catherine.
