In Greg’s Team, Ludovic Obraniak, consultant and former player of the Girondins de Bordeaux, spoke out following the information that the Marseille players were going to go on a cohesion course without staff, in Copenhagen. « It was the first time I met Benoît (Trémoulinas). We met at the Cannes Film Festival (laughs) since Jean-Louis Triaud had made a villa available for Bordeaux, which was his or that he rented, plus the yacht. So we were in Cannes for three days, then I was there with Adil Rami since we had finished the season. So we ended up in Cannes for three days, I’ll spare you the details… Big parties, big afterparties. Afterwards, I did a lot of things at Le Touquet. In fact they (the Marseille players) are going to do things together, go out a bit. They’re going to go have a drink but they’re not going to get shabby because today you can’t do that unless they find a nice place. But I find it great because ultimately, that can be the key to a successful season. Going without the staff helps. You’re going to look for what you know less about. You’re in the context of football, you’re always in competition… If that helps you surpass yourself for others on the pitch? Absolutely, because you get to know the guy next to you, etc… It started like that in Lille in 2009/2010 and it took us to 2010/2011 because we almost all knew each other. After the matches, we all spontaneously ate together. I think it gives the team better momentum. Honestly, I wanted to do things for others much more than if they were my worst enemy.
