For the first federal round of the Coupe de France Futsal, OL will have a short trip to Saint-Priest to negotiate. Match scheduled for January 18.
Last weekend, OL Futsal won its first match since October 12, the date of the first day of D2. After a long crossing of the desert, David’s men Touré raised their heads a little with a league match on December 7, then a success at Futsal Vaulx-en-Velin in the Coupe de France on December 14 (2-6).
Now on rest, before resuming competition in 2025, the Rhone residents are learning with difficulty in the second national division. Cutting is therefore a good way to regain confidence. After its trip to Corsica on January 11 to meet AC Ajaccio (2nd), Olympique Lyonnais will have to travel again, but much less far this time.
Saint-Priest is 2nd in R1
On Saturday January 18, he will face AS Saint-Priest in the first federal round of the Coupe de France. An opponent he knows by heart having met him several times in previous seasons. Currently, the ASSP is playing in Regional 1, one level below Jules’ teammates Casamayou. Second in its championship, the San-Priote team will not be favorites, but it will be able to count on the support of its supporters. For OL, it’s a new derby in this competition, with the objective of pushing the adventure further to generate a positive dynamic which could have repercussions in the race to remain in D2.
